What's a good price for renting a car in Florida?
I spent some time in Miami the last week in December (2022) and I rented a car through Discover Cars. The website said there are no hidden fees, but that is not what I experienced.
Colusa Rent a Car (3935 NW 26th St, Miami, FL 33142) quoted me a price less that $200 for 6 days. However, I was charged excessively for supplemental insurance ($35/day). I was also charged excessively for tolls ($14.99/day PLUS tolls). The company misrepresented its toll packages, which is why I chose that option.
I believe these charges are excessive and that I was a victim of trickery, dishonesty, and deceitfulness. |

The Miami-Dade Consumer Protection Division has received a detailed complaint regarding Colusa Rent A Car (addCar, Carwhiz).
Regardless of the outcome, I will soon also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. No Florida traveler should have to put up with a car rental company that misinforms and charges exorbitant rates to vacationers.
Florida is meant to enjoy and companies like Colusa Rent A Car make it difficult to enjoy the full splendor of Florida.
Buyer Beware!! Do NOT use Colusa Rent a Car in Miami!! |

Colusa Rent a Car, alias addCar and Carwhiz, has an F-rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB)!
